From the original owner, here is an original Saucy Walker Doll. Made in 1952 by Ideal. She is 22'' high, all hard plastic. Her face is wonderful, with original paint, flirty blue eyes, intact lashes, an open mouth w/tongue & teeth, and rosy cheeks. Her wig is tosca saran, still in the original braids w/original hair bows intact.

The body is also excellent with beautiful coloring and still rosy hands. Her walking mechanism works, but is a little stiff, with one side working better than the other. Her eyes move, with one slightly off-set, and I'm not sure they are in sync with her legs. This doll has been stored in her box for almost 70 years. The rubber bands which allow these dolls to work harden over time.

Her crier is also silent, which is usual with these dolls. Saucy wears her original pink waffle-weave dress with attached petticoat. She also wear a white onesie, rayon socks, and white vinyl shoes. Her card of little pink curlers is attached to her wrist.

The box is also in excellent condition with both cardboard inserts intact. It is sturdy and without problems. Her original owner's name is lightly written on the front. From a cosmetic point of view the doll is mint.

From the mechanical point of view she may need a small adjustment. The original owner did not play with her, preferring baby dolls instead. She was always kept in her box, in a closet of the same home until she came to me.
