NOTE: This unit is in Tenn. I will not be back until the end of May so you will not be able to pick this up until then. Tested again just before listing this.
I bought this new in 1974 or 1975 from Henry Radio in Los Angeles. This unit has never been serviced and is all original in working condition. It sat on my dresser in my bedroom for 45 years. My setup was this Marantz 2325 receiver with B&O Beovox M70 speakers (speakers not included), a Sony TC-177SD cassette deck (not included) and a Dual 701 Direct-Drive turntable (not included). The last time everything was hooked up, all controls, and inputs and outputs, on the 2325 worked fine. This 2325 has NO dings, dents, scratches, rust, wear, etc, just normal aging and dust on the power cord. The rear RCA connectors do show minor dulling or slight corrosion from age.
This still has the protective plastic overlay on the faceplate, I never took it off. The discolorations on the face in the photos are reflections, it is perfectly clear. I only listened to classical music with this so the volume was never turned up more than about 1/4 way, I bought this 2325 because it had the lowest THD at the time. It has sat unused for the last 5 years but I just turned it on to test it before listing it here. All controls work except the TONE MODE dial is a little scratchy so it will probably need cleaning.
I forgot how nice the music quality is with this unit. I don't know where the original instruction manual is but it is available online and can be downloaded for free. This unit has sat exposed for 40 years so there is some dust inside and I would recommend blowing or vacuuming out the dust before using it for any length of time although there were no problems while it was on for 15 or 20 minutes while I was testing it. From a no-pet, non-smoking home.
